Minister Kimberly Broome
2025 Imaginative Formation 2025 Fellow
First Baptist Church of Merrifield is proud to partner with Howard University School of Divinity Imaginative Formation Post-Graduate Church Impact Fellowship Program 2025 Summer Fellow, Minister Kimberly Broome.
Minister Kim is no stranger to First Baptist Church of Merrifield. She has served in various
ministry roles as Greeter, Vice President, President of the Destiny Ministry (Young Adults), and Church School Superintendent. She serves as Midweek Devotions/Noonday Coordinator and New Members Orientation Coordinator. In 2022, she received her ministerial license under Rev. Dr. Paul A. Sheppard and is an associate minister. Kimberly brings a wealth of experience in Christian education, leadership, and ministry.
Minister Kim is a double HBCU graduate. She completed her Master of Divinity degree with honors from Howard University School of Divinity. She is also a graduate of Grambling State
University, Grambling, LA, receiving her degree in education. Kimberly worked as a Professional Baking and Pastry Chef for the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, D.C., serving as
Local 25 Union leader of hotel and restaurant workers.
Minister Kim is a pastry chef, minister, and Christian educator with a ministry that aims to
nourish body and spirit. She serves in a context where many are physically hungry and spiritually malnourished. Her call is to create sacred spaces where people feel seen, fed, and empowered.
Through her integrated ministry, Minister Kimberly Broome remains dedicated to the holistic spiritual formation of all she serves, nurturing their hearts and souls with unwavering
commitment.
